Use this guide to install a trunk or cargo-area LED strip without blocking hinges, latches, or cargo space.

Before you start

Confirm the strip length, power method, and control behavior on the product page.
Clean the cargo-area trim or mounting surface and test where the light spreads best.
Plan a wire path that does not interfere with hinges, latches, cargo, weather seals, or folding seats.

Installation steps

Dry-fit the strip along the cargo area or trunk edge before removing any adhesive backing.
Check that luggage and normal cargo will not scrape the LEDs or pull on the wire.
Mount the strip in short sections so the line stays straight and secure.
Connect and test the light according to the product page and included parts.
Open and close the trunk or hatch several times and make sure no cable is pinched.

Common mistakes

Mounting the strip where cargo can hit it directly.
Leaving loose cable near hinges or latch areas.
Testing only with the trunk open and forgetting to check closing clearance.
