Dynamic Scan Hood Light Strip for Cars with Startup Animation
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Your car's front end is the first thing people notice after dark. We made this dynamic scan hood light strip for drivers who want a cleaner front-end lighting accent with a flowing startup animation, without changing the bodywork or making the hood look overbuilt.
Why You Will Like It
- Adds a smooth dynamic scan startup effect when your vehicle powers on.
- Creates a sharper hood line for night driving, parked setups, car meets, and everyday styling.
- Flexible strip design follows different hood shapes with a cleaner, low-profile look.
- ACC wiring with fuse protection keeps the light tied to vehicle startup power instead of a rechargeable battery.
Front-End Styling That Feels Integrated
The strip gives your hood a modern light signature instead of a bulky add-on look. Once powered, it runs as a continuous LED accent, helping your front end feel more finished during low-light drives and parked display moments.
Built for Hood-Line Placement
The silicone and PVC body has an IP68 waterproof structure for exterior accent use. Use the rear adhesive backing on a clean, dry surface, and use the included adhesion promoter packs if the surface is cold or the adhesive needs extra help holding.
Choose the Right Look
- Pick White for a crisp OEM-style accent.
- Pick Ice Blue for a cooler custom front-end glow.
- Pick Red when you want a bolder show-style effect.
- Choose 71, 79, or 87 inches based on your hood width and planned mounting path.

INSTALLATION & POWER
This hood light strip is a wired exterior accent light. It is not USB rechargeable. Plan the mounting path first, test the strip, then wire the red lead to an ACC fuse connection and the black lead to ground.
Before You Install
- Test that the light strip turns on normally before mounting it.
- Measure your hood or grille-line path before choosing 71, 79, or 87 inches.
- Clean and dry the area where the strip will be pasted.
- Use the included adhesion promoter packs if the surface is cold, the backing feels weak, or you need stronger adhesive support.
- Avoid high-heat, moving, sharp-edge, or driver-distraction areas.
Wiring Guide
- Plan the strip position: Align it along the hood edge, grille line, or another suitable exterior accent position before removing the adhesive backing.
- Test ACC first: Use a tester to find an ACC fuse that has power when the vehicle is on and turns off when the vehicle is off.
- Connect the red wire: Connect the red wire to ACC positive. Do not connect the red wire directly to the car battery terminals.
- Connect ground: Connect the black wire to negative / ground.
- Check the fuse: Make sure the fuse on the light strip is seated properly before finalizing the installation.
- Test the startup effect: After wiring, start the vehicle and confirm the flowing scan animation and continuous lighting mode work correctly.
Power Notes
- Working voltage: 10V-15V.
- The LED light strip includes fuse protection, but correct ACC wiring is still required.
- Do not connect the red wire directly to the battery, or the strip may stay on and drain the battery.
- Professional installation is recommended if you are not comfortable with fuse-box wiring.
