This guide is for customers setting up Tutu Car Light rechargeable RGB lights with a remote control. Use it before mounting the lights so you can activate each light, pair the remote, choose a good placement, and avoid the most common setup problems.

This guide applies to Tutu Car Light rechargeable remote-control RGB mini lights sold for car footwell lighting, cabin accent lighting, bike and scooter lighting, holiday decor, and other small accent setups. Before You Start

• Charge the lights first. A full charge takes about 60 minutes. If the lights have not been used for a long time, charge them before testing.
• Prepare the remote. Remove the transparent film or battery tab from the remote before pairing.
• Choose placement first. Good car positions include under the dashboard, under seats, rear footwells, lower cabin trim, cargo spaces, and other lower accent areas.
• Clean and dry the mounting surface. Dust, moisture, oils, fabric texture, and curved surfaces can make the mount less reliable.
• Test color, brightness, and modes before mounting. Once the lights are attached, repositioning takes more work.

Setting Up Your Light for First Use

This part matters. A new light may need a short activation charge before the remote will connect correctly.

1. Remove the remote film. Pull out the transparent film from the remote so the battery can make contact.
2. Charge each light for at least 5 seconds to activate it. The light may turn on automatically after you unplug it.
3. Pair within 3 minutes after unplugging. Long press the ON button on the remote. If the light responds, pairing is successful.
4. Repeat for each light. If your kit includes multiple lights, activate and pair them one by one.
5. Sync multiple lights. After pairing, press Steady On or W to help all paired lights show the same steady setting.

Installation Steps

1. Plan the layout

Place each light where you want the glow before attaching anything. For a simple car footwell lights installation, start with the driver footwell and passenger footwell. If your kit includes more lights, test rear footwell, under-seat, or cargo-area positions next.

2. Test each light

Charge each light, unplug it, pair it with the remote, and confirm it responds before mounting. If one light does not turn on, charge it again and test it separately before continuing.

3. Clean the surface

Wipe the mounting area and let it dry fully. A dusty, oily, damp, or heavily textured surface is the most common reason the mount does not hold well.

4. Mount the lights

Use the included mounting method for your kit, such as Velcro-style pads, rubber rings, or the magnetic mounting option when your product includes magnets. Press the light firmly into place and gently check that it stays secure before driving or riding.

5. Keep the light below eye level

For car interior footwell lights, the goal is a lower cabin glow, not a light shining into your eyes. Keep the light source tucked low and aimed toward the floor or lower trim.

6. Test the remote from your normal position

Once the lights are mounted, sit where you will actually use them and test color, brightness, and lighting effects. The remote lets you change the mood without reaching down to each light.

Best Placement and Use Tips

Driver footwell

Mount the light away from pedals, pedal arms, and the path of your shoes. If your foot can kick the light while driving, move it higher or farther back.

Passenger and rear footwells

These areas are usually easier to position. Aim the glow toward the floor instead of directly toward a passenger's legs or face, and check that people will not kick the lights when entering or exiting.

Under-seat glow

Under-seat placement can look clean, but check the seat rails first. Do not place lights where the seat can crush, scrape, or pull them loose.

Cargo space, glovebox, and small storage areas

Rechargeable RGB lights can also work as small accent lights in a trunk, cargo area, glovebox area, or storage compartment. Test the position first so the light is easy to reach for charging and not buried behind loose items.

Bikes, scooters, motorcycles, skateboards, and parked accent setups

For non-car setups, check the surface before mounting and keep the light away from wheels, chains, brakes, hot parts, and areas that get hit by shoes. If the setup moves or vibrates, test the mount by hand before using it outside.

Rooms, campers, holiday decor, and temporary displays

For room or holiday use, place the lights where you can remove them for charging. Keep them away from water while charging, direct heat, and fabric surfaces that do not hold adhesive well.

Areas to avoid

• Pedals, pedal arms, wheels, chains, brakes, and moving controls
• Moving seat rails
• High-heat areas
• Loose wiring or moving parts
• Places where feet can easily kick the light
• Spots that shine directly into the driver's eyes or windshield

Remote Control Tips

The remote controls color, brightness, and lighting effects after the lights are paired. Use it from your seat or normal viewing position instead of reaching down to each light.

• Power: long press ON or OFF to turn the lights on or off.
• Brightness: choose high, medium, or low brightness.
• Colors: select white, red, green, blue, yellow, purple, pink, ice blue, or AUTO color cycling.
• Modes: use Mode + or Mode - to move through the lighting effects.
• Steady light: use Steady On when you want a constant glow instead of flashing.
• DIY modes: long press a DIY button to save the current mode or color. If the save works, the light flashes white 4 times.
• Two-color flash: press the first color button to set the first flash color, then press the second color button to set the second flash color. Press the same color twice if you want both flashes to match.

Common Mistakes

• Mounting before activation and pairing. Activate, pair, and test each light first.
• Trying the remote while the light is charging. Unplug the light before remote testing.
• Placing lights where they can be kicked. Keep them tucked away from shoes and moving parts.
• Not cleaning the surface. Dust, oil, moisture, and textured surfaces can weaken the mount.
• Using very bright or flashing settings while driving. For normal cabin use, choose a low, steady glow that does not distract you.

Troubleshooting

Light does not turn on

• Charge the light for at least 30 minutes if it is new or has not been used for a long time.
• For first activation, charge the light for at least 5 seconds, then unplug it and test again.
• Try a different charging cable or USB power source if available.
• If only one light has the issue, compare it with another light from the same kit.

Remote does not work

• Remove the transparent film or battery tab from the remote.
• Make sure the light is charged and unplugged from the charger.
• Long press ON within 3 minutes after unplugging the light.
• Move closer and point the remote toward the light area.
• If the remote has gone to sleep, long press any button to wake it.
• Check whether all lights fail to respond or only one light fails to respond.

Mounting does not hold

• Remove dust and oil from the surface, then let it dry.
• Choose a flatter, smoother surface if the first position does not hold well.
• Use the included Velcro pads, rubber rings, or magnetic mounting option as appropriate for your kit.
• Avoid fabric, heavy texture, high-heat areas, and spots that are frequently kicked.

Charging indicator is confusing

• Green light means the light is charging.
• Light off means the light is fully charged.
• The remote will not control the light while it is charging, so unplug it before testing.

Light looks too bright at night

• Lower the brightness with the remote.
• Use a steady color instead of a flashing mode for normal cabin use.
• Move the light farther under the dashboard or seat so the LED source is less visible.
• Aim the glow toward the floor instead of toward your eyes.
